There's a misconception that hypermobility is just "Being Blessed with Extra Flexibility"

when really, it's a genetic connective tissue disorder that brings an array of issues 

Hypermobile dancers often face frequent injuries and unexplained aches, which can slow their progress and lead to frustration.

They may hesitate to push themselves, unsure of their body’s limits, or push too hard and end up in pain.

At times, they feel both overly loose and rigid, struggling to find the right balance between stretching and strengthening.

This constant cycle can make them feel more fragile than other dancers, adding to the challenge of reaching their full potential.

Here’s the problem:

On the outside people see beautiful lines and enviable flexibility...what they don't see below the surface is the frustrating challenges that come with hypermobility 

Struggling to stretch safely, the balance of healthy flexibility often feeling out of reach

The unexplainable migraines, jaw & neck pain that can strike at any time

Instability & weakness that make many dance moves feel out of reach or risky

I know how it feels...

Growing up as a dancer, I never knew about hypermobility 


All I knew was that I got praise for my splits & my naturally bendy back. Protecting my joints was never part of the conversation. chronic achiness was dismissed as normal, and pushing deeper into my flexibility was prioritized over strength and stability.

It’s no surprise that by the time I was 18, I suffered a debilitating back injury that seemed to mark the end of my dance career.

Fast forward eight years, and not only have I defied that career-ending diagnosis, but I’m thriving at the top of my game. Today, I perform, compete, and teach dance across the country for a living—stronger than ever. I’ve learned how to care for my body without sacrificing my goals!

I’ve been fortunate to study yoga with incredible teachers who specialize in hypermobility. Their knowledge has been invaluable, and over time, I’ve synthesized what I’ve learned into exercises, routines, and lifestyle habits that have profoundly supported not only me but also my hypermobile students.

As I worked with more students, it became clear that there was a greater need for this kind of tailored training—something that most dancers simply don’t have access to. That's why I created The Bendy Bodies Blueprint -to fill this gap and empower dancers with the tools they need to thrive!
